Received a call yesterday from a member of the yacht club regarding negotiations to sell their property and relocate to theĀ east on land owned by the Charlottetown Harbour Authority. Many issues involved here, not the least of which is the eventual fate of the current CYC property — a very important waterfront property that needs careful consideration from city planning.
Do You Get Many Calls?
Resident of my ward called to inquire about the fine and impound fees paid to retrieve her stray, unlicensed dog from the Humane Society.

Rob >> are these the same lands that council just approved a condominium project for?
What did city planning have to say about that?
No, separate properties involved here. The Yacht Club has put the move on hold for the time being as the buyer of the property at their current location backed out and canceled his development plans (plans which never even made it to the formal planning stage).
Also, council has not “just approved a condominium project”. A spa/hotel/condo project was approved a few years ago based on the Waterfront Development Area plan, but the new plan is significantly different and must go to a public meeting and back to council for a vote before it’s approved.
