I received an email from a resident of Ward 3 concerning the delivery of advertising flyers. The concern was that these are often tossed in heaps on doorsteps and driveways, and they invariably get blown around the neighbourhood, causing a mess. I’ve contacted The Guardian, which manages flyer delivery.
Do You Get Many Calls?
Received a phone call yesterday from someone wishing not to be identified who witnessed a police cruiser "callously" speed through a puddle, thereby splashing an elderly woman on the sidewalk.

Hi, Rob,
I too have contacted the Guardian in the past about its cavalier method of flyer distribution. Transcontinental, the Guardian’s owner, makes a good chumk of change from flyer delivery. Perhaps Sears, Sobey’s, the Superstore, Co-op, & all the other stores who pay good money to have their flyers delivered should hear how a good percentage of them end up in ditches and under snowbanks.
