I am a lifelong resident of Ward 3, Brighton, where I was born, raised and educated. I was elected to Charlottetown City Council in November, 2006, and re-elected by acclamation for a second four-year term in November, 2010.

I attended West Kent Elementary, Queen Charlotte Junior High and Colonel Gray High School before earning a Bachelor of Science Degree (Biology) from the University of Prince Edward Island. I live on Crestwood Drive with my wife Kelly and our two sons, Brodie and Ronan. Both boys are students at West Kent where I started my own education.

After successfully operating for several seasons as a forestry contractor, planting millions of trees on private and Crown land and employing dozens of people across PEI, I returned to school and received an Advanced Diploma from Holland college in Business Information Systems Development. I have now worked in the information technology sector for more than 15 years, presently employed as an IT Business Consultant specializing in Human Resource applications for large private corporations and public sector clients. I have been involved in a variety of significant provincial and municipal projects in PEI and throughout Atlantic Canada.

I enjoy volunteering my time and technical expertise with a number of charitable organizations and public interest groups and spending time with my family. At City Hall, I am currently chair of two committees:  Planning & Heritage, and Integrated Community Sustainability. I also sit as a member of the Economic Development and Tourism committee.
